Description
Freedom camping permitted in CERTIFIED SELF-CONTAINED VEHICLES ONLY.
Maximum of 2 night stay.
Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace.
Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet.
All dogs must be restrained at all times to ensure the safety of other campers and the owners are responsible for the removal of their dogs' waste.

We passed in front and it is super close to SH1... I would not recommend as there is a lot of traffic passing nearby obviously.
