Freedom camping permitted in self-contained vehicles that clearly displays NZS5465:2001 certification. If you don't have a self-contained mobile home with this certification you will need to find a campground.
You can stay for a maximum of two nights per calendar month. You must park legally in the designated area only and comply with noise requirements.
There are 6 spaces available at Kulim Park.

We visited this site for years. Scenic, good to walk long side the beach, toilets nearby. Only cargo trains pass just 50 m away quite frequently. Now they closed 4 out of the 6 places to park for whatever reason and check. As long as you are awake all fine. Otherwise you wake up with a 200 $ fine if parked overnight outside the two marked spots. So be careful, in the night the markers are hard to see. And they close the gate at night!
