Not a bad spot to stay for a night and very handy having the dump station there too. Seems some guys staying there long term in a big caravan but had no issues. Toilets were nice too

Set between the road and the river this "freedom camp" has all you would need, dump station, drinking water, clean and well maintained toilets. If you are without your "SC sticker" this is a good place to stay close to town. Those with their "sticker" genuine or otherwise like to stay here too some taking up as much space as they feel a right to including the public footpath whilst moaning about those who are less fortunate who don't have "homes" to go to. There is a certain amount of beeping and general "car noise" that goes on but that is more acceptable than the non issue of the "homeless" who keep to themselves and are supported and monitored daily. Thank you to the locals, council etc for your tolerance and understanding.

Stayed last night with no problems. Quite a few semi permanent campers which I assume are homeless. We arrived late and are self contained so did not interact with anyone.
