Amazing spot to spend night and day, lovely views to open ocean, some grass area around the beach and also some shade here from trees what we really appreciated it! Close to the road, but this road ends at the beach, so super quiet at night. Love this spot so much, does not felt as being in a city at all, no problems with not welcoming locals either.

Don't stay here! Beautiful sunsets and passable toilet but unsavory locals as reviews suggest. 1st night was okay. 2nd night rowdies pulled up in the middle of the night with music blasting and paintballed the campervans. Partner forgot phone in toilet; was taken with no attempt to return. Not indicative of NZ hospitality. Don't stay here.
