Small parking lot in the center of Whangamata behind the i-site. Toilets are near and were clean. Just a short walk to enjoy the beach and surf the famous Whanga left break!

Stayed on a Friday night and was quite noisy but it is in middle of town so is to be expected! Siren also rang once in the night which startled us ..

Best freedom campinf spot in Whangamata for access to the beach and town. Beach access right beside the carpark, main St on your other side. Toilets 30 second walk but locked at 10pm.
