Description
Freedom camping permitted in self-contained vehicles that clearly displays NZS5465:2001 certification. If you don't have a self-contained mobile home with this certification you will need to find a campground.
You can stay for a maximum of two nights per calendar month. You must park legally in the designated area only and comply with noise requirements.
There are 2 spaces available at this location in Fergusson Park. Freedom camping permitted 7pm Sunday 10am Friday only. No camping Friday and Saturday.

No access after 10 pm. Gate closes

What a joke. Room for 50 or more in parking places & you are only allowed 3 campers there. 2 are so close together on the yellow lines that motorhomes would be touching! Not to mention that they butt up against smelly large dumpster bins and 10 metres from a toilet block. Other sites also restricted numbers. You missed out on our tourist $'s

They Don't allow camping in the freedom sites on Fridays and Saturdays now, pounded on the van window at midnight and had to leave even though was parked in the designated spot
