Arohaki Lagoon track, 3h return, starts from carpark which is just a few kilometers from this one.The road which leads there is gravel and not very nice. I did it with my Toyota Estima and it was ok even in a rainy day, but it's full of pot holes and water ponds. Toilet is long drop, no water there.

Perfect starting point for walking and biking tracks with various lengt and duration (even multiday tracs with sleepover) in beautiful lush forest of Whirinaki Conservation Park.Short walks are Waiatiu Falls track, should be 30 mins from the carpark, really short track to a canyon (for 30 mins return max) and Whirinaki waterfall loop track (11 km).
