Description
Whiorau Station is a working sheep and beef farm and ideal for a family holiday or a overnight stay for work. The quaint refurbished shearers quarters offer comfy beds and linen, a full kitchen and lounge with television and free wifi. Relax on the verandah overlooking the garden with a glass of wine or spot the fallow deer as they come out of the bush. Let the kids play in the sand pit, playhouse or bounce some energy away on the trampoline. Martha and Princess Petra the ponies are always keen for a pat or a ride, while Nice pig loves a scratch or food!
Camping is also available.
Just 15 minutes down the road and you get to the beautiful Mahia and Mahunga beach, where there are beautiful walks and good surf breaks.
3km up the road are the Morere Hot Pools perfect for a soak after exploring.
Mangaone Caves offer beautiful views and limestone caves.
Just over an hour away and you have the beautiful Lake Waikaremoana, Rere Rock slide, and the vineyards in Gisborne.
Bring your horse or bikes and explore.
