Description

This is a basic 4-bunk hut in Tararua Forest Park, in the Wellington/Kapiti region. There are no fees. Bookings not required - first come, first served. Facilities include non-flush toilets and water from a stream. Approximate times from nearest roads and hut Akatawara Road end: 5 hr Otaki Forks: 3 hr 30 min Renata Hut: 2 hr 30 min There is an active slip 10 minutes along the Waiotauru Track, between Fenceline Track and Snowy River Bridge. Take care when crossing the slip.
