Description

This is a standard eight-bunk hut located in Ruahine Forest Park in the Manawatu region. Bookings not required - first come, first served. Waikamaka Hut is owned and maintained by the Heretaunga Tramping Club. Please note, the Backcountry Hut Pass and Hut Ticket system does not apply. For overnight stays donations should be sent to: Heretaunga Tramping Club PO Box 14086 Mayfair, Hastings 4159. Email: htc@orcon.net.nz Facilities include heating, mattresses, non-flush toilets and water (not treated - boil before use).
