Freedom camping is permitted in SELF-CONTAINED VEHICLES ONLY. Maximum 3 night stay in any 4 week consecutive period (beginning on the first night). Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet.
