Stayed here tonight at it was really lovely. Met so many locals and spent a really nice time together, played on a guitar, singing and chatting was included :) really nice and safe spot to be. Plenty of a space. Sometimes in the morning when males bathrooms are occupied they are coming to the females, but I don't consider this as a weird. If the nature calls you have to go :)

Campsite was fine other than going to the women's bathroom around 10pm to find it being occupied by about 6-7 people (men and women) with lawn chairs presumably doing drugs? I went to the men's instead but it was unnerving experience walking up to the women's with loud men's voices coming from it. Bathrooms do not have soap.

Heaps of room both on the grass and by the sea for non csc. Awesome for swimming, shellfish and fishing. Kids have lots of room to play. A north island favourite.
