From the roadend descend into the Tukituki River and follow it upstream to a large flat on the true left. Rosvalls Track starts at the downstream end of this flat and heads up to Black Ridge. At the top of the ridge turn north and follow the track, then an unmarked route to Tarn Bivouac.
