The campground is 1.3km from the Kaipara Harbour and small boats and kayaks can be launched into a creek near the campground, providing water access to the Kaipara Habour. Our campground comes with a main building (the Keruru Lounge) which includes a large modern kitchen with ample benchspace, hot showers, flush toilets, laundry, bbq and rubbish collection. On premise is a fish cleaning station for your catch of the day. Powered and unpowered sites, cabins and huts are available. The McConnell farm is a working farm and there are animals near to the campground, including alpacas that are hand fed. There are also tennis courts and a children's playground at the local school 5kms from the campground. The nearest shops and eftpos are located in Wellsford 30kms away. So you will need to bring all of your own supplies, and cash if you want to play golf. The last 12km drive to the campground is on a gravel road.
