A very nice spot to park up for the night, once you cross the dam there is a short gravel track to the right with a level gravel parking spot at the end with great views. The track to the left goes up the hill and across to the water pipe outlet, it is worth checking out but would recommend a 4x4, otherwise it is a 15 min walk there is also a campsite in the bush near the end of the track big enough for small to medium tents. The first night I was there was very peaceful apart from a bit of machinery noise from the dam, the second night I was there it rained pretty heavy and from about 1am to 4am there was a very loud air raid siren coming from the dam every 10-30 mins, I assume to warn anyone downstream that there would be a lot of extra water coming down. Great spot but not when raining.

Parked on the eastern side of the dam. Machinery noise a bit of a pain but pretty sight
