Kahuterawa Reserve

Campground

Description

A great spot to get away from the city and back to nature. Have a barbecue with the family and enjoy the quiet surroundings. Facilities include wood burning BBQs (byo baking paper, the pates are gross) and toilets. No potable (drinking) water available on site you must bring in your own, though there is a stream for other non drinking needs. Three continuous nights of camping allowed. It appears that the council has installed bins. These bins are not for dumping of waste. Leave no trace. Campervan effluent taken away to approved disposal sites. Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet. Keep an eye out for broken glass and rusty metal. This site has been obviously used for bonfires and party's in the past. Intake a look at the reviews to decide if this is the site for you.
