A great spot to get away from the city and back to nature. Have a barbecue with the family and enjoy the quiet surroundings. Facilities include wood burning BBQs and toilets. No potable (drinking) water available on site you must bring in your own. Three continuous nights of camping allowed. All Waste must be removed from the site and disposed of in a Council approved disposal facility, leave no trace. Campervan effluent taken away to approved disposal sites. Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet.

Don't bother coming here it is very dirty. Old campfires everywhere, and it just does not feel safe at all. Stay away. But if you are a young person who wants to have fun drinking and making a fire, this place is for you

Lovely quiet spot at a little stream with a lot of space to park your van. + Clean toilet with toiletpaper + You can make a campfire + Close to the city - many sandflies

Had a lovely quiet 2 day stay leaving Saturday morning. Quite a lot of in and out traffic Saturday morning. All carrying bicycles so think they were looking for the bike park which is much further up the road.
