Description

This is a basic two-bunk hut located in Kaweka Forest Park in the Hawke's Bay region. There are no fees. Bookings not required - first come, first served. Black Birch Bivouac is located in the eastern Kaweka Forest Park, between the Lotkow Roadend and Little's Clearing picnic area. The hut has a long drop style toilet. The bivouac is reached after a 1.5 hour walk from Little's Clearing or 1 1.5 hours from Lotkow Road.
