Get away from it right on the edge of the City in the upper sites along the road past the toilets. A nice walk with a bit of rock hopping to a waterfall at the end of the camp site. Will be back. Also only about 25 mins from the Ferry terminal

Close to Wellington and the highway but you don't hear it. Go to the upper campground because there are less people. Facilities are basic but clean toilet has paper and soap. There is drinking water. We really enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. For 8 per person per night.

Calm and peaceful little Campsite with good toilets, drinking water and some spectacular hikes nearby. Very idyllic and not noisy at all.
